It's school vacation this week. We haven't made any plans at all.
Gordie and the boys rented a car this morning and left for NC to pick up G's car which has lived there since August. They plan to be back tomorrow - a very quick trip. The plans were made at about 10 am this morning and we left the house at 11:15 to drop them off.
Kids have such simple needs when it comes to packing. I made a list for them to follow. Toothbrush, paste, undies, pjs, one shirt, one pants. They had that done in about a minute. Then we threw in swimming trunks just in case they had to stop at a hotel.
Remember I said simple? Wait- we need to get the iPods charged, a new song or two downloaded, the Nintendo DS packed up (thanks to Maura, it's always charged :) ) and the PSP for Adam, a couple of movies (6 or 7) to watch on the trip. Where, oh where do they get this gadget gene from?
Remember our trips in the big Ford sedans with Mom's battery powered tape recorder on the front seat? It's a different world, baby!
