David: "Mom, if the world stopped evolving on its axis...."
Me, interrupting: "revolving....."
David: "yeah, revolving, on its axis just for a minute would time stand still?"
Me (stalling): "uh"
thinking: doesn't he know the earth won't stop revolving? No, he's asking hypothetically, and no I don't know the answer to this hypothetical question......
Finally- I say "you'll have to ask Daddy that one"
In the end it didn't really matter because he went on to explain to me that time HAS to stand still because the earth revolving makes time and days and blah blah blah.
I like when I know the answer but sometimes it takes a Big Girl to say "I don't know" LOL! Sadly, the "I don't know" moments are coming more frequently now!
By the way, he turns 8 on Sunday. At least he could have started his question with "Mom, hypothetically speaking...."
