Excited much!? Adam is pushing Landon's stroller.
I went with Adam's class (as a chaperone) to Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. It is a restored colonial village (similar to Sherbrooke Village for all you Nova Scotians). I brought Landon along - the teacher said that was fine and Adam's classmates were very excited about Landon coming.

Here is Holly Heifer - she was a big hit!!
Another group joined us (girls) and were getting such a kick out of Landon. He saw a chipmunk and yelled "chickenmonkey" so the newly expanded group became the "Chicken-monkeys" and they had a special Chickenmonkey cheer and it was very very cute! I saw a mom yesterday at the park and she asked me what the word was that her son was saying all day after he came home from the field trip! It was of course "Chickenmonkey" Here is a pic of where that all began:

our group:

typical- Landon leading THEM!
While we waited for the boys to come out of the schoolhouse exhibit, Landon hung out at the outhouse.
I took my own vehicle so that Landon would be in a car seat and those bus trips are SO LOUD that I thought that was a better option. BUt I did choose to follow the bus- thinking that was justhow it was done. It turns out I could have gone off on my own but I didn't realize that at the time. Never again!! There were times on I-84 that we were driving 40 (going up a hill near the CT border) but we did reach a top speed of 53 mph! Then the brilliante driving the lead bus decides to pull over on the shoulder on I-84 to yell at one of the kids. So you have 2 buses and 4 vehicles behind it all pulled over on the highway- not the safe scenario I picture my children in every day as they get on their bus!
At the gun exhibit:
It was a wonderful day. I loved being with Adam and his friends and seeing the interactions between the 11 year olds and Landon, they really were so careful and loving with him. I was very impressed! I could also see that Adam is well loved by all his peers, or else they knew better than to mess with him when Mama Bear was there!!
