a whirlwind of excitement

Jon and Brian left yesterday for NS. The boys had spent almost 5 weeks together so it was a bit of an adjustment for them. They loved being together that long and have remarkably few altercations. Vick's kids are great guys!!!!

The day started off with dirt bike maintenance-

-Annemarie stopped by for dinner (please do that again!), but I don't have a picture of her :P

-The glass top patio table was attacked by its own umbrella and it shattered:

-Then one of NY's finest stopped by (in his NYPD helicopter!!!!!) HOW EXCITING!! He was here to pick up something he had bought from Gord and WOWED us all with his gadgets, niceness, uniform, oh my word, it was soooo cool. We are still talking about it. He came just as it was getting dark so I didn't get any pics of the helicopter. But I assure you, it was one of the coolest things I have ever seen in my yard!! Much more exciting than the BlackHawk.

Then this morning, Adam decided it is time for Derf to learn to ride the dirt bike. Derf was eating breakfast so Adam had to wait, because it is important to eat breakfast. Derf also wanted to make sure there was no polyester in his sneakers because that would make them more susceptible to burning on the dirtbike. I don't make these things up. He turned out to be very impressive on the dirt bike, no scares at all!
