It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...

It already looks like Christmas and now it is beginning to feel like it! I am thankful that most of the family's Christmas travelers have reached their destinations safely- Mom and Dad flying to NS, Ash and Uriah driving many many miles, as well as Vick and Dan making it through the same snowstorm as Ash and Uriah, just in the opposite direction. We have much to be thankful for!!

This morning as Vick left for a shopping outing, she asked for some ideas for a Landon present.  Considering that he has toys from 3 other kids, as well as whatever he had garnered over his little 3 years, I just couldn't think of anything needful right away. So, I decided to go right to the source. Little man himself.

Me: What's your favorite thing to play with?
Him: My toys. What's yours?
Me: My kids.
Him: No, you like to play with dangerous toys.  I can't play with dangerous toys.
Me: Like what do I play with?
Him: *glancing towards the kitchen* Like sharp knivesess ................ hot dogs .........bacon.

I hope he is never chosen as an expert witness. Just not reliable.

Moments later I called Leah to check if Ash had arrived there. Our conversation led to Landon opening a present she had sent down with Vicki. He was so excited about it- a Cars (the movie) replica of Mack and all kinds of thrills inside it. He LOVES that thing Leah- it is great for his age. Thanks!! Revelling in the joy of present receiving, he thought he could open ALL the wrapped presents. Fortunately, Gord was still home and intercepted him!! Disasteris avertis.
