one fine day............

We were all up early today even though it is (was) a Saturday with no plans as well as the first day of school vacation. A small person of persuasive character, loud voice and an irrational desire to get up early, was effective in rousing his bunkmates, followed by marching in to Adam's room shouting "Rise and Shine" and running up to our bed asking me to put his clothes on him.

Despite the obvious, (Prov. 27:14....He who blesses his friend with a loud voice early in the morning, It will be reckoned a curse to him....) a lovely day unfolded.
Gord took Adam, Tim-bob and Landon kayaking.
Before they left, Adam mowed the front lawn.
After they came back, Adam went to New Hampshire with his best friend for a couple of days.
Maura picked flowers to replace our dead ones in the vase. She also helped organize our DVDs, cleaning the few that still had a shred of hope of working.

Saffi was inside watching Maura cut the flowers......but she was outdoors for most of the day.
Landon helping Grandpa. You can see Maria's new boat in the background.

Landon trying out  Gordie's kayaking shoes and gloves.
