Back to school

Summer, sadly, has ceased. The thermometer in my vehicle today said 100 degrees but that is not the summer I am talking about. I'm talking about the summer where there are no schedules and kids are brown and smell like sunscreen. The days when you don't decide what's happening that day until long after the cereal is eaten and the sun is nearly high in the sky. I remember those days and how I loved having my children all to myself. Even though this summer (me working 3 days at the ofice) was a little different from those, I think we made the best of it. The kids were well entertained and cared for. We still had lots of visitors and went lots of places. Now back to school and 5 day work weeks! But with a huge and wonderful change. Wonderful. I will be getting out at 3pm and I'll be home when they get off the bus. It is literally a dream come true.

Roses at Elizabeth Park.

Stop sign abandoned at Elizabeth Park.....stop and smell the roses.

Smarties Pyramid.

Delicious pot roast at Ash and Uriah's. With Heidi. That's a great day when you sit in worship meeting with your two sisters beside you. Another dream come true is having a sibling living near by!

First Day of School:

Kona:

Off they go, 6th, 4th and 1st grades....

Landon was supposed to pose but kept yelling that the bus was here. In my ear.

You just have to wonder if he will be the teacher's pet? Hahaha.

And way earlier in the morning, this stellar pose happened. A 9th grader, isn't that crazy??

Yummmmm.....

A post Bermuda feast with the cousins.
