DBuck

This morning, David had an orthodontist appointment at 8:40. When it was time to leave the house, Landon was still asleep. It was for that reason that I was able to have David all to myself for a little while this morning. He got to sit in the front seat- that is always conducive to great chats.

The orthodontist office was heavily decorated for Halloween- all the walls were lined with the rock paper in the above photo, glow in the dark cobwebs, witch's caldrons (paper towel rolls for the fire underneath- LOVE it), framed art that was freaky including one of a woman that showed her dress leaking out of the pic and flowing down the wall, 4 foot wide spiders on the ceiling, piles of bones on tables, skeletons everywhere, grave stones, spooky trees with brown streamer roots threading around the office. I was quite distracted while the orthodontist was bugging me about spacers and adult teeth and something about coming back in 3 months. I dunno. Everything sure was purty.

After we left the orthodontist, mere 10 minutes after arriving, we went to Starbucks. Gord and I have kicked the starbucks habit to the curb pretty much, but it's bonding for me and my kids to go there. Dave ate a second breakfast and I got my decaf Pumpkin Spice Latte of the week.

On the way home we discussed what his rapper name would be and arrived at DBuck (his nickname is Derfy Bucket). Don't ask- we really don't know why.

I'm off to volunteer in landon's class-I hope he is not embarrassed!
