Maura is currently on her second round of being sick, but when she was sick last week she was very interested in learning to sew. We started out with little bags. I helped her out, showing her the basics but I was still surprised when I heard my machine running without me. I had never heard my machine from another room before! Anyway, she was in there making bags for her friends at school.

The swatches in the photo below are for her friends to pick out which fabric they wanted bags made from.

Using a photo frame as a pattern. She insisted on doing everything herself.

Maura, those are beautiful! You're going to have to teach my girls how to sew, since I sure can't! :)
