A home burned on the lake last week and the firefighters had a struggle getting water to it because the hoses were freezing up and the house sits on a slope below the road and slopes away to the lake. Lots of slippery conditions that endangered the firefighters, etc. The other problem was that the old fellow that owned the house was storing cans of turpentine and they were exploding randomly.
This is where they were collecting the water from the lake, it froze up and was looking pretty cool.
